Driving Directions to Camps

Yards Creek Scout Reservation

Yards Creek Scout Reservation is off Rte. 94, a few miles west of Blairstown.

From south-west New Jersey, go north on Rte. 31 to Rte. 46 to Rte. 94.

Then, go a few miles east on Rte. 94 toward Blairstown.

Look for a road called Walnut Valley Road. This is roughly at the intersection of Rte. 94 and an unmarked road toward Vail, and about 100 foot west of the Dairy Queen.

Go north on Walnut Valley Road for 3 or 4 miles, it's a pretty sharp rise, until you come to the Power Station.

Drive onto the Power Station property and stop at the Guard Station. Then, follow the road to the camp. It eventually becomes a dirt road. Keep going until you reach the camp parking lot.

Winnebago Scout Reservation

Take Route 24 West to I-287.

Take Route 287 to Exit 41. Take Exit 41B onto Rt. 80 west.

Take Interstate Route 80 West to Exit 37 (Rt. 513) Hibernia exit in Rockaway, NJ.

Take Exit 37 onto Rt. 513 North. (You will have to turn left at the light at the bottom of the off-ramp. This will be Green Pond Road)

Go 6.5 miles on Green Pond Rd to Timberbrook Road

Make a right on Timberbrook Rd and go 1.3 miles to entrance of camp.

Camp Glen Gray

Take Route 24 West to I-287.

Take Route I-287 North to Exit 58, marked Route 202, Oakland

At end of exit ramp (at the light), turn left for 0.2 miles to next light (keep left)

Turn left at this light onto Route 202 North

Take Route 202 North 1.9 miles to Glen Gray Road (see Glen Gray sign opposite road on right)

Turn left onto Glen Gray Road and go over the steel bridge

Turn right onto Midvale Mountain Road

Take this road for 0.6 miles to the camp entrance

Camp Lewis

Take Route 24 West to I-287.

Take Route 287 to Exit 41. Take Exit 41B onto Rt. 80 west.

Take Interstate Route 80 West to Exit 37 (Rt. 513) Hibernia exit in Rockaway, NJ.

Take Exit 37 onto Rt. 513 North. (You will have to turn left at the light at the bottom of the off-ramp. This will be Green Pond Road)

Go 6.3 miles to Upper Hibernia Road. Turn right onto Upper Hibernia Road.

Go 0.5 miles. Camp Lewis will be on the left.

Kittatinny Mountain Scout Reservation (KMSR)

Take Interstate 287 to I-80 West (toward the Delaware Water Gap).

Take Route 80 West to Route 15 North

15 North turns into Route 206 North.

Take Route 206 North. Approximately 4 miles north of Branchville on Route 206 look for "Stokes State Forest" sign on right side.

On the left, approximately 1/4 mile past Stokes State Forest entrance will be the sign "Kittatinny Mountain Scout Reservation (KMSR)". Turn left onto Struble Road. Go approximately 1/4 mile and turn left into parking lot of KMSR.

Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco

Route 80 West to Exit 12, bear right off the exit.

Follow signs to Blairstown, Turn left on Rt. 94 South

At the first traffic light, make a right, continue straight and up hill.

At Stop sign make a sharp right turn then a left turn onto Millbrook Rd.

Continuing on Millbrook Rd for approximately 4.5 miles, watch for signs to YMCA Camp Mason; turn right onto Birch Ridge Rd.

Pass Camp Mason and turn left onto Shannon Rd.

Continuing on Shannon Rd, watch for a lake on the right side; after the lake make sharp left onto Sand Pond Rd.

Camp entrance will be right.

Camp Alpine (NNJC Camp and not the GNYC Camp of the same name)

Take Route 4 East to Fort Lee

Go north on Route 9W to Closter Dock Road, then turn left

Turn right on Piermont Road and proceed to Ruckman Road

Turn right on to Ruckman Road and follow it to camp entrance

Proceed to camp camp road-parking lot is on the left

Camp Turrell

Take Route 24 West to I-287

Take I-287 North to Mahwah, get on the NY Thruway - North (I-87).

Exit at Rt. 17 West (Thruway Exit 16/Harriman) you will be by the Woodbury Commons. Pay $.50 toll.

Take Rt. 17 West through Middletown to Exit 113 (Ellenville/Wurtsboro/Rt. 209). At the top of the Ramp, go left onto Rt. 209 South.

Go approximately 9 Miles. You will go through Westbrookville and see a sign for Cuddebackville.

In Cuddebackville, before the blinking light, turn right on Oakland Valley Road.

Go approximately 4 miles on Oakland Valley Road. You will pass the Speedway & Campground (on your left), and go over a river.

About 1/2 mile after the river, make a left onto Galligan Road. In approximately 1/2 mile, the road becomes dirt.

Go past the old railroad bed and look for the brown Drukker Scout Reservation/Camp Turrell sign and stay right.

It is a long 2.5 mile road. Go past Camp Kluge and up into the parking lot.

Ross Dock (Catholic Retreat Site)

From Routes 4, 46, I-80, I-95:

Take the exit for Fort Lee / Palisades Interstate Parkway.

Continue straight on Bridge Plaza South past several traffic lights.

At the last light ("T" intersection), turn right onto Bigler St.

At the stop sign, turn left (east) onto Main St., then keep in the right lane to bear right (south) at River Road.

The southern park entrance will be on the left.

Follow Henry Hudson Drive about one mile to the Ross Dock circle and follow signs.

New Jersey State Police Academy - Sea Girt NJ

Garden State Parkway to Exit 98.

Turn onto route 138 East and continue through 4 traffic lights.

Beyond the 4th traffic light turn onto Highway 35 south (there will be a sign for Sea Girt).

Continue on Rt. 35 South to the 5th light and cross over the railroad tracks, then bear to the right.

Continue to the Academy entrance where security personnel will direct you to your destination.

Camp Mohican Outdoor Center

Take Route 24 West to Route 287 North

Take Route 287 North to Route I-80 West

Take I-80 west to Exit 12 (NJ 521), take right fork in exit, follow signs for Blairstown

Take NJ 521 north to NJ 94, turn left (south)

Take NJ 94 south for 1.1 miles through Blairstown to Mohican Rd. (If you get to the A&P shopping center you have gone too far.)

Turn Right onto Mohican Road (At end of golf course/at large wooden Blairstown Fire Hall sign)

Follow Mohican Road 31/2 miles to Gaisler Road (where road comes to a T-intersection) CAUTION: This is a steep and winding road.

Turn left on Gaisler Road and go ½ mile

Turn right on Camp Road (just before Children Playing sign). This road will turn into a dirt road after ¼ mile or so.

Proceed past the sign for the Appalachian Trail and through the open gate.

When you see the Lodge on the left and a double garage on the right, stop, park and come into the Lodge to register.
